Congratulations to all the students who performed at the Jazz in the Meadows Festival in Rolling Meadows, IL on Saturday. All three PHS Jazz big bands performed and received clinics and feedback from top jazz experts in the Midwest.
The Red Raider Jazz Ensemble performed competitively and earned the top rating of Division I.
In addition, five students received an “Outstanding Musician” award: Travis Krause (PHS Jazz III), Grayson Rondou (PHS Jazz II), Sam Murphy, Carter Ollmann and Gwendolyn Rybak (Red Raider Jazz).
We had an awesome day, and were thrilled to be joined by the Pulaski Middle School Jazz Band, and to be part of such a renowned festival. Jazz is growing in PCSD, and we have much to be proud of!
